Did you know that AmateurGolf.com had a small part in the birth of the popular YouTube channel @MrShortGame? It was at the PGA Show in Florida that Matt came up with the idea for his new persona while laying in bed amped up on Turkish coffee. (How we found Turkish coffee at a hidden-gem restaurant in Florida is another story.)
Pete and Matt met while playing tournaments with the Torrey Pines Men’s Club, and found out that golf wasn’t the only thing they had in common. Matt was an experienced video editor who had worked for Disney, NFL, and many other top organizations. Pete needed help filming at the PGA Show. So they traveled down to Orlando together, and Matt’s horizons were opened up to the business side of golf.
