[How to make Compass point towards Player in Minecraft (Dream Manhunt) – Tutorial
This is a tutorial on how to make a compass point to any player in minecraft 1.16. This will also work in lower versions.
How to keep the compass when you die:
Commands

Get a command block: /give [username] minecraft:command_block
Set the command block to Repeat, Unconditional, Always active:
/execute at [player you want to track] run setworldspawn ~ ~ ~
Forceload the chunk: /forceload add ~ ~ ~ ~
